Seeing through the future, "Who are the said leader of this tomorrow"

"Parent listen to your children, we are the leaders of tomorrow".............................. For those of us who had attended elementary school here in Nigeria, you would be quite familiar with the song above. Ever since i was born and now in my late twenties I have never for once see those kids out there in school stop singing this song, infact it really pinch me like a thorn in the flesh seeing young once singing this song with joy and hope that one day an opportunity to make things right would come.

My take in this regard is not to discourage the kids in singing this song, neither am i disputing the fact that the youth are truly the leaders of tomorrow, but what happens even when an avenue to be positive in a certain place of authority or office rather is been frustrated, i mean what happens when someone comes to your door-post telling you that, if you cannot beat them you join them. Should we all learn to please the authority at the expense of doing that which is civic. And now due to one civic disobedience you see 'them' kick you out of place and place a tag on you reading "rebellious"

Nigeria is a great nation and sincerely speaking, the youth of this nation are the future leaders, but how do we even sort out the challenge of better governance when folks in their respective place of authority are giving kickbacks to get things done for them? as if that was not enough, the youth are even the major instrument of perpetrating all this civil wrongs. We all know and you will quite agree with me that, the way our tomorrow would be could be best told by our today, just like the Scripture would say, "when the foundation is destroyed what can the righteous do". Lets get rid of the foundation of a building and see if it will stand.
To sum up, i am not trying to get attention neither am i derailing from any said rule or regulation change is in every man but that change can best be expressed when heads are brought together to effect that change.
Give the eaglet strengthened wings to fly!

I love Nigeria
Am a Nigerian.
